Believe me when I say that I’m sure everyone you know has faced a time in their life where they’re feeling stuck in life, they don’t really know what they want, where they are going, or what they are doing.
All too often we can be our own worst critics, thinking we’re the problem because we’re so sure everyone else has it all figured out. Not true! Even celebrities, and famous people through history – we usually see the end results of their journey, what we don’t see are all the few twists in the road they’ve had to take to get there.
The difference between those people and you is that – you guessed it – you’re reading this, so I’m betting you’re keen to find out how you can find your focus and direction again. Before you make the decision to search for life coaching services, it’s important to ask yourself some questions.
Facing challenges head on when you’re feeling stuck in life
Very often life will throw up a huge challenge – whether it’s an unexpected job situation, the end of a relationship, or just a gnawing feeling that ‘this’ is not what we want. Even if we don’t know exactly what we do want, we just know we’re not there yet.
I had a classic photocopier moment a few years ago. It went something like this…are you ready…‘I can’t do this ****! anymore’. Pretty profound, eh? It was like a bolt of lightning. I knew straight away it was going to be a turning point in my life, because I’ve learnt over the years to listen to my gut feelings, and start asking myself questions, often hard questions, to try to figure out where I’m going and what the next step could be to take me there.
And do you want the good news? This can be and is fun. That’s right – fun. It might seem contrary when I say you should enjoy feeling stuck, but try, because it won’t be like this forever. Celebrate this feeling because if you know you are stuck, then you have complete clarity about wanting to be ‘unstuck’. See what I mean?
Are you ready for the second piece of good news?
I’ve got a free tool right here that gives you a few questions to start playing with, questions that are going to kick-start a truly valuable thought process when it comes to getting unstuck. Let the questions wander through your mind. Be gentle with it, enjoy it, relax – see what comes up. Ask these questions just before bed and see what your subconscious mind reveals whilst you sleep.
I get it, I really do, but sticking your head in the sand when you’re feeling stuck in life and just accepting the way things are is only going to leave you feeling more and more unfulfilled. You deserve be unstuck, and I want to help you achieve it. Once you’ve gone through the questions and uncovered your answers, I’d be happy to talk through my life coaching services with you.
You’ll probably find some extremely interesting thoughts and feelings coming up for you, and I’d love to know more, so let me know in the comments below if you are happy to share!
